It's great to be part of Ontario's excellent educational landscape. Did you know that private career colleges provide Ontario's work force with more than 38,000 highly skilled individuals each and every year? With economic and technological changes constantly at play, PCCs are well suited for satisfying the training needs that businesses require in a short time period, better allowing Ontario's businesses to change and adapt.

OACC and its members are proud to have played such an important role in providing our province with a skilled labour force for the past 140 years. With global trade and changing economic realities, we will be pleased to continue our support in providing Ontario with a competitive and well skilled labour force for another 140 years.

Gone are the days of receiving your education/training and going out into the workforce until retirement. Today's competitive markets and technology improvements are creating a need for labour market participants to seek re-training and make complete career changes at least once in their lives. Private career colleges are very experienced in this field and well positioned to continue supporting and training Ontario's workforce.

I have been involved in private education for the past 20 years and I can share with you a thousand heart felt memories. The reward of working in this field is awe-inspiring and to have the opportunity to serve as the President of the association is amazing.

I look forward to enhancing our association with the satisfaction that we can help more Ontarians get the skills they need today for the jobs of tomorrow.
